Mrs Chongky’s birthday was last week.

Being a smart ass money saver, i asked my mummy to help me get the cake. And i didn’t get any special present other than the extra cooked lor mee and Mr Bean. No choice right now that i’m broke, and i’m saving up for a present that probably costs a bomb.

The happiest person is probably not Mrs Chongky, who just removed her wisdom tooth the other day. The kids are most happy. After school we pick them up and come home can eat cake.
Mummy is good at buying cake. She compares the price, then recalled that the cake i bought last time wasn’t great, so she bought the slightly more expensive one. And then it does turn up fresh and good. And soft and nice such that Mrs Chongky ate quite a bit.
The next day Jon, Yang, Minsi.Chang, Lian and Lynn celebrated for Mrs Chongky over dinner.

Sadra looks good that day because she was wearing the new clothes Mrs Chongky’s mum bought for them.

Like punk rocker chick but wear a lot of ribbons and flowers after this photo.
Post dinner activity was longer than dinner itself. First stop Baker’s Inn for dessert, then while i was at my meeting the rest went to shop at Cineleisure, and then after i rejoin the group we all went to Mind’s Cafe.

To play Monoploy, Singapore Edition.
Strange, Mrs Chongky claims that the dentist stitched her gum to her cheek, and here she is smiling so widely…
Anyway, the game started off peacefully, probably it was already 12ish am. No drama, no action. Just sleepy faces.

And then at a certain point during the game we found ourselves converging at the all-too-familiar City Hall MRT.

And that was Friday night.

Poor Sadra who does not know Monopoly and is too young to understand the game can only sit in between two monsters and watch everyone else plays while occassionally throw a dice or two.

The game of monoploy lasted quite a while, slightly short of two hours i believe. Houses pop up, people start forming alliances and making deals. For a while i was transformed to a scene right out of Survivor.
And of course, after all the excitment and laughing, we didn’t forget a group photo at almost 3am.
